Hadopi plays down ruling on its powers from French constitutional authority

Tuesday 26 May 2020 | 11:22 CET | News
Anti-piracy watchdog Hadopi has issued a statement on a recent ruling from the French constitutional authority (Conseil Constitutionnel), in a case brought by La Quadrature du Net, a French non-profit association campaigning on the rights of online users. In practice, it should have no real impact on Hadopi's methods of operation. The watchdog said that the article in question refers to powers that have never been used in the past.
