Almost half (49 percent) of digital pay-TV customers in the UK are watching less than a fifth of the channels included in their TV packages, according to a report from uSwitch.com. In addition, some 71 percent of customers are watching less than half of the channels they pay for, even though the average yearly spend for premium pay-TV has risen to GBP 508, or GBP 42.30 per month. In fact, a quarter (25 percent) of Sky customers and 28 percent of Virgin Media customers pay more than GBP 60 a month per household for their packages, said the report.
