H&M invests in Klarna and integrates its payment platform in app and loyalty club

Monday 8 October 2018 | 13:02 CET | News
Swedish payments specialist Klarna has announced that Swedish-based, international fashion chain H&M has agreed to make an investment in it, and that Klarna's platform will support payments at H&M branches and through mail order. The portal TechCrunch put H&M's investment at USD 20 million and cited a source close to the deal as saying that this equates to much less than 1 percent of Klarna. TechCrunch said it has heard that Klarna has been considering an IPO, too, but a spokesperson declined to make any comment to the news portal.
