HBO agrees licensing deal in Japan with Amazon

US pay-TV company HBO will license its catalog and streaming rights in Japan via Amazon Prime Video. The video streaming platform is an extension of the Amazon Prime home shopping and delivery membership scheme which went live in Japan in 2017. Amazon Prime Video will stream both current and older HBO series in Japan, starting with 1 April.
