HBO Nordic is Sweden's fastest-growing streaming service

Monday 25 August 2014 | 12:39 CET | News
Netflix has grown steadily in the two years since it launched in Sweden but it stagnated in the second quarter, according to consultancy Mediavision. Rival HBO Nordic fared well, by contrast, making it the fastest-growing streaming service in Sweden, making it a real challenger to Neflix and Viaplay. HBO Nordic still has some way to go to catch up with Netflix, with an average of 640,000 paying subscribers in the second quarter.
