HEP to hand fibre optic cable to national network - report

Croatian energy company Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) will sign an agreement on 13 June to transfer surplus fibre optic cables to a new state-owned telecommunications infrastructure provider, namely Odasiljaci i Veze (OiV), reports Poslovni Dnevnik. The agreement between HEP and OiV is a precondition for the successful withdrawal of EUR 240 million from EU funds to provide fixed internet services with a minimum speed of 30 Mbps to residents and businesses in small towns across Croatia by 2020.
