Hispamar inaugurates new Amazonas fleet teleport in Serviente

Hispamar, the Brazilian subsidiary of Spanish satellite-based telecommunications operator Hispasat, has unveiled a new teleport and satellite control centre in Serviente (Rio de Janeiro) to manage its Amazonas satellite fleet throughout Latin America. The 30,000 square-metre control centre features seven high-performance antennas, five of which are devoted to monitoring carriers and two are for telemetry and remote operation of the Amazonas satellite fleet.
