Hispasat chairman resigns

Petra Mateos Aparicio has presented her resignation to the board of the Spanish satellite operator, after seven years as chairman of the company. She said it was an appropriate time to step down following the change in shareholders at Hispasat. Abertis Telecom has increased its stake in Hispasat to almost 50 percent, following an agreement to buy Telefonica's 13 percent share.
