Honduran operators join GSMA stolen mobile initiative

Tuesday 2 February 2016 | 09:31 CET | News
The GSMA has announced that Honduran mobile operators Claro, Tigo and Hondutel, together with the country's telecoms regulator Conatel, have signed an agreement to join the "We Care" initiative to combat mobile phone theft. The operators have pledged to work together to combat the theft of mobile devices, promote digital inclusion in state schools and support local Red Cross campaigns, among other initiatives. They will also implement the GSMA's Device Check system, reinforcing measures already underway to fight terminal theft and device trafficking between countries.
