Hong Kong regulator announces successful bidders of 3.5 GHz spectrum auction

Hong Kong's Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) has announced that China Mobile Hong Kong, Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT), Hutchison Telephone and SmarTone Mobile Communications are the successful bidders of the 3.4 – 3.6 GHz spectrum auction. China Mobile Hong Kong has been assigned the A1 –A6 blocks in the 3400 –3460MHz frequency range, while HKT been assigned the A7 –A11 blocks in the 3460 –3510MHz. SmarTone will take up the A12 –A16 blocks in the 3510 –3560MHz frequency band, while Hutchison has been assigned the A17 –A20 blocks in the 3560 –3600MHz frequency band.
