Hotsplots sees users spending 9 bln minutes online in 2015

Public Wi-Fi provider Hotsplots said it expects customers to have spent more than 9 billion minutes online using its access points in 2015. This is a rise from 2.7 billion minutes in 2013, which it said was 20 percent longer than the time spent by Deutsche Telekom customers. It said its experience contradicts figures from the Ministry of the Economy and Energy (BMWi), and media headlines, that depict Germany as a Wi-Fi wasteland.
