HPE buys supercomputing specialist Cray for USD 1.3 bln

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has agreed to buy supercomputer specialist Cray for USD 35.00 per share in cash, for a total of USD 1.3 billion, net of cash. With headquarters in Seattle, Washington, Cray reported 2018 revenues of USD 456 million, up 16 percent from the year before. The company has 1,300 employees worldwide.
