Two Smart bus stations have been activated in the Croatian city of Rijeka, offering a range of functionalities for a more efficient and enjoyable experience of city transport. The stations are the result of a six-month pilot project of the City of Rijeka in partnership with Hrvatski Telekom, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Smart RI, Autotrolej and Rijeka Promet.

Passengers will get an overview of the timetable and maps of the bus stations with real-time bus locations. HT's concept for the station provides passengers with internet access, wireless charging of electronic devices, and the measurement of air quality.

Ericsson's Connected Traffic Cloud application enables smart public transport, and is the world's first available on mobile devices.
