Hrvatski Telekom launches 5G campus network for FER research

Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing launched the first 5G campus network in Croatia using the 3.5 GHz band. The core and radio network resources are reserved exclusively for local use and are separated from the public 5G network, enabling optimal network performance (speed, capacity, and latency) necessary for research projects. The network will allow students, the scientific and business community to research and develop projects based on 5G technology in the field of IoT, Industry 4.0, automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence
