Hrvatski Telekom to invest HRK 2 billion in fibre by 2020

Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom plans to invest HRK 2 billion in fibre optic networks in the next four years, according to CEO Davor Tomaskovic, reports Poslovni Dnevnik. He pointed out that Croatia lags behind the EU for FTTH penetration and with regard to Digital Agenda goal of every Croatian having at least 30 Mbps access by 2020 and half of the population having a service at a minimum of 100 Mbps. Tomaskovic added that in the last five years, HT has been the biggest private investor in Croatia with total investments of HRK 5.7 billion.
