HTC starts Vive X programme to support VR content makers

Wednesday 27 April 2016 | 09:10 CET | News
HTC announced it is launching Vive X, a global accelerator program targeted at start-ups operating in the virtual reality space. The company is investing USD 100 million in the program to help grow the VR ecosystem, by supporting start-ups and providing them with expertise, special access to advanced VR technology, financial investment, mentorship and go-to-market support. The aim is to build "valuable content producers or content enablers" for HTC's Vive platform. Vive X will start in Beijing, Taipei and San Francisco, with a view to rolling out across other cities in the near future.
