Huawei commits USD 4 bln to fixed broadband R&D

Huawei has confirmed its commitment to the fixed broadband market with announced plans for over USD 4 billion in investment in fixed broadband technology research and development over the next three years. The investment will focus on products to support customers providing an improved service experience for end-users. The announcement was made at the Huawei Ultra-Broadband Forum in London. Huawei will continue to expand pipeline capacity through investment in chips, algorithms, silicon photonics and other basic technologies.
