Huawei launches IP-based mobile network tech for '4.5G era'

Huawei has unveiled new IP-based mobile network technology designed to help operators build mobile video service-oriented bearer networks that offer optimal viewing experiences. The company said its new mobile bearer solution is built for what it describes as the 4.5G era, with numerous mobile vendors having already launched 4.5G base stations that use technologies such as carrier aggregation to increase capacity beyond 1Gbps. Huawei's IP-based technology introduces three new network construction standards – xGbps-to-site, U-vMOS 4.0 video experience and agile operation and maintenance (O&M)
