Huawei opens smart city research centre in Sardinia

Huawei and Sardinian advanced studies institute CRS4 have announced the opening of a new research centre in the Sardinian Science and Technology Park in Pula on the outskirts of Cagliari. The CRS4-Huawei Joint Innovation Centre (JIC) will focus on research projects in the Smart and Safe City sector in line with the objectives of the EU's Horizon 2020 research programme and the Sardinia's regional development programme (S3). The partners said an experimental infrastructure will be created for the development of new technologies aimed at resolving issues related to the Smart and Safe City,
