Huawei rolls out eLTE-IoT network for Mexican power grid

Thursday 12 July 2018 | 10:56 CET | News
Huawei has announced a contract to deploy an enterprise Long-Term Evolution-Internet of Things (eLTE-IoT) network as the backbone for the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) of Mexico's power grid. The eLTE-IoT network operates in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) frequency band, uses 4.5G technology and employs new features that comply with unlicensed spectrum regulations, enabling backhaul communication for power metering, improved security, reliability and network performance, said Huawei in a statement.
