Huawei shows up to 1.2Gbps download on LTE demo network

Huawei has claimed the fastest download speed achieved on an LTE network, at 1.2 Gbps in its demonstration at the CTIA Wireless trade show in Las Vegas. The demo uses Huawei's SingleRAN prototype LTE-advanced system with 80 MHz multi-carrier wideband radio and the following features: carrier aggregation, 4x4 MIMO, coordinated multi-point transmission and relay. Worldwide, Huawei has deployed more than 60 LTE networks including nine commercial networks.
