Huawei starts fund with Smart City Solutions

Huawei said it is starting a USD 1.5 billion global financing programme, with capital from IoT and smart services funding company Smart City Solutions, to support the development of smart city infrastructure with particular attention to Africa, ITNewsafrica reported. Lauren Fan, Huawei's president of the public sector, said this will help governments and smart city builders construct IoT, command and control for critical communications, and intelligent video surveillance.
