Huawei to invest USD 400 mln in NZ ops in next 5 years

Huawei's CEO Ren Zhengfei has met with New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English to discuss its expansion plans on the local market. Huawei said it intends to invest USD 400 million in New Zealand over the next five years, Stuff reports. According to company spokesman Andrew Bowater, Huawei's investment plans are in part "aspirational". Around USD 250 million of the total planned investment would be accounted for by its intention to source more products and services locally.
