Friday 17 October 2014 | 21:27 CET | News
Huawei Technologies has a planned R&D budget of USD 600 million until 2018 for the developing of 5G technology, Digitimes reports, citing company acting CEO Ken Hu. Huawei began R&D of 5G technology in 2009 and has set up nine 5G R&D centers around the world, according to the report. Huawei's 5G technology is targeting peak data transfer speeds of 10Gbps and small delays, the executive indicated. In indoor spaces of 330 square meters, the technology enables simultaneous wireless connections with as many as 1,000 terminal devices, Hu added.
