Huawei unveils GBP 10 mln R&D investment in UK

Huawei has announced plans to invest GBP 10 million to support technology research programmes at leading UK universities. This is part of the company's previously announced USD 2 billion investment commitment to the UK and will be implemented by 2017. The GBP 10 million investment includes key collaborations with the major British universities, with the research programmes focusing on advanced multimedia, IT and optical technology, green radio, 5G technologies, optical technology, wireless communications and product engineering.
