Hungarian mobile data traffic up 30% in H1

Hungarian mobile operators saw a 13.8 percent year-on-year increase in calls and 30.1 percent growth in data traffic in the first half of 2020, according to data from telecommunications authority NMHH. The average monthly voice traffic per SIM card increased by 14.9 percent for residential subscribers and by 21 percent for business subscribers. At the same time, the average monthly data traffic increased 41 percent for residential subscribers and 10.7 percent for non-residential subscribers. The volume of SMS sent decreased by 25.6 percent in H1.
