Hungary adds 16,000 broadband users in February

The number of fixed-line voice subscriptions in Hungary was 3.038 million in February, down slightly from 3.042 million in January, according to a report from local telecom regulator NMHH. The total number of fixed-line broadband subscriptions reached 2.330 million, that is up 16,000 year-on-year. The DSL base increased to 776,038 from 774,521 in January, the number of cable subscribers increased to 970,295 from 961,691, and the number of FTTx users grew to 362,707 from 359,040. In the broadband market, T-Home had 35.7 percent of the market, UPC had 21.8 percent and Digi 14 percent.
