Hungary adds 8,000 fixed broadband subscribers in August

The number of fixed-line voice subscriptions in Hungary dropped by 22,000 in August to 3.011 million, according to data from local telecom regulator NMHH. The number of fixed-broadband subscriptions increased by 8,000 over the same period to 3.167 million. Magyar Telekom's T-Home maintained its lead on both the fixed-line voice and fixed broadband markets. The number of voice over cable lines declined to 1.103 million from 1.111 million, while the number of VoIP users decreased to 1.576 million from 1.578 million in July, the same data shows.
