Hurricane Electric opens PoP in Honolulu

Thursday 24 March 2016 | 15:27 CET | News
Internet backbone operator Hurricane Electric has opened its first point of presence (PoP) in Hawaii at Honolulu's DRFortress data centre. DRFortress is the primary peering point in the state and houses its densest concentration of IP carriers. The new exchange point will provide customers of DRFortress access to Hurricane Electric's IPv4 and IPv6 network through 100, 10 and 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports. They will also be able to peer with Hurricane Electric's global network with lower latency and fewer router hops.
