Hutchison 3 completes 5G live network trial in Indonesia

Nokia and Hutchison 3 Indonesia (3ID) have completed a 5G live network trial on the local market. The trial was conducted on a Nokia network on millimeter wave frequencies, and demonstrates the 3ID network's ability to support 5G deployment, Nokia said. Multiple tests were conducted on the 28 GHz spectrum, reaching the highest data download speeds of 1.62 Gbps with 11ms latency. Upload speeds reached up to 75.9 Mbps during the trial.
