Hydro66 starts construction on data centre in Boden, Sweden

UK data centre startup Hydro66 has started building an 8,000 sq mt data centre in Boden, Sweden, taking advantage of the Arctic climate and located less than 500 mt from a hydropower station. The data centre is due to completed in May 2015, with significant expansion over the next decade. It is located in the Node Pole region, which also hosts large data centres, including Facebook's two Mega Data Centres. Hydro66 is backed by UK venture firm Black Green Capital.
