IAB Italia sets up coalition to block ads on pirate sites

IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) Italia, the association that groups together the country's most important online advertisers, has signed a memorandum of understanding with music industry anti-piracy group FPM and Fapav (the Italian audiovisual rights federation) to stop pirate sites from earning revenue through advertisements in Italy. The agreement aims to promote cooperation with a view to implementing effective measures to prevent ads being placed on pirate sites and quickly take down any ads that do appear. The MoU envisages the creation of a committee that will receive complaints
