IBM looking into sale of business units, up to 1,000 jobs affected

IBM is looking to sell several business units in its Global Technology Services division in Germany and preparing to transfer up to 1,000 employees to these new companies as part of the sale, according to internal company emails seen by Verdi, Germany's union for service sector. The transferred employees would maintain their existing work contract with IBM for at least a year after the transfer, they wrote.
