IBM offers technology grants

IBM is kicking off an USD 18 million grant programme to put no-cost cloud hosting, customisable software, and consulting services into the hands of not-for-profit social service agencies that qualify. The company developed the IBM SafetyNet software expressly for this grant programme. Through 31 October, interested organisations can apply for the technology and installation support by going to www.ibmsafetynet.org. IBM will evaluate a variety of criteria when choosing grant recipients. With a value of approximately USD 300,000 for each installation, IBM is prepared to make 12 grants annually
