ICASA consults on ways to reduce mobile data costs

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) says it is putting proposals concerning end-user rules for data out to consultation. ICASA said it is committed to ensuring that the cost of communication is reduced to acceptable levels for the benefit of consumers. It has developed a comprehensive plan that outlines its short, medium and long term interventions to ensure greater transparency.
