ICASA delays implementation of some service charter obligations until 12 April

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has given more time to operators to implement regulations on opting out of notification for depletion of voice, SMS and data services and out-of-bundle usage. ICASA says that on 11 February, it announced slight amendments to the End-User and Subscriber Service Charter Regulations (the First 2019 Amendment Regulations) to bring certainty and to ensure that the rules did not have unintended consequences for licensees and consumers.
