Icasa extends mobile call termination rates for 12 months

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa has extended the current mobile call termination rates for twelve months while it performs a new cost study. The current glide path was set to end on 30 September. Vodacom and MTN will continue to charge ZAR 0.13 for calls from other networks, while Cell C and Telkom may charge ZAR 0.19.
