ICASA probes subscription TV markets

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has announcedan inquiry into the subscription television broadcasting services market. The authority said it has observed the failure of new market entrants to commence licensed activities and noted that only two subscription broadcasters operate, despite several having been licensed.
