ICASA seeks views on iBurst sale

Thursday 23 July 2015 | 12:39 CET | News
South African regulator ICASA has asked for written submissions over the proposed acquisition of ISP iBurst and Broadlink parent Wireless Business Solutions (WBS) by MultiSource, TechCentral reported. In the most recent Government Gazette, ICASA said that it received an application for approval of the acquisition on 08 June. MultiSource has undertaken that WBS will remain the holder of all licences issued to it by Icasa. The Electronic Communications Act prevents the sale or transfer of an individual licence without prior written permission from the regulator.
