ICE acquires 100 percent of Cable Vision in Costa Rica

Costa Rica's ICE has acquired 100 percent of pay-TV operator Cable Vision, closing a negotiation started in 2012 when it took over the majority of the shares, reports La Nacion. With the merger, the state-owned telecommunications operator will supplement its IPTV service with cable TV. The IPTV service was launched in June under the Kolbi Hogar brand. This will also enhance its internet, fixed IP telephony and mobile services, offered under in Multi-Play mode.
