Icelandic regulator runs hearing on frequency rights extensions after bill does not pass in Parliament

Icelandic communications regulator PTS has announced a consultation concerning the renewal of mobile frequency rights that expire in 2022 and 2023. The deadline for comments is 31 August. Because the Electronic Communications Bill was not passed in the recently concluded session of Parliament, there can be no long-term allocation of frequencies at this time, so PTS intends to take temporary measures.
