Iceland's Siminn signs deal with Farice to boost bandwidth

Icelandic telecommunications operator Siminn said it has signed an agreement with submarine cable operator Farice to ensure connectivity up to 2019 and to expand bandwidth. CEO Saevar Freyr Thrainsson said the agreement provides it with bandwidth via three submarine cables, namely the Farice-1 to Scotland, the Danice cable to Europe and Greenland Connect to North America. Siminn has had a successful business relationship with Farice. He said Siminn's aim is to provide the best possible connections at competitive prices, with security guaranteed.
