ICT, consumer electronics market growth slows in 2012

The global telecom, IT, TV and consumer electronic markets grew by 2.7 percent to EUR 3.17 trillion in 2012, after growing by 4.3 percent a year earlier, according to Idate's DigiWorld Yearbook 2013. Growth in Europe slowed to 0.1 percent from 0.9 percent a year earlier, while North America achieved 2.5 percent growth, Asia Pacific 3.9 percent, Latin America 5.2 percent and Africa and the Middle East 8.2 percent.
