IctQatar, Qatar Museums sign deal over 3D digitisation

The Qatari Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (IctQatar) and Qatar Museums have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) concerning the digitising of three dimensional materials. 3D digitisation allows the virtual examination of three dimensional objects, reduces the risk of damage to them and facilitates comparative study. It also assists with restoration by making it easier to replicate delicate parts.
