IDC forecasts global ICT spend to grow 3.6% to USD 4.3 trillion this year

Wednesday 19 February 2020 | 11:19 CET | News
Global ICT spending will increase this year by 3.6 percent to USD 4.3 trillion, according to the latest forecast from IDC. The market researcher expects growth from companies focusing on customer experience and innovative products such as cloud, mobility, the IoT, AI, edge computing and robotics, offset by uncertain production expectations amid the coronavirus epidemic, combined with protectionist policies and geopolitical tensions, including the US-China trade war, threats of US tariffs on EU automobiles and the EU's expected response, and continued uncertainty around the Brexit deal.
