IFT orders Cablevision, Telmex to pay interconnection fees

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has resolved a number of interconnection disputes between Mexican operators and pay-TV providers Cablevision, NII Digital, Unefon, Iusacell, Telmex and Talktel, reports El Financiero. The regulator ordered pay-TV operator Cablevision to pay Iusacell, Unefon and NII Digital an interconnection rate for mobile termination services of MXN 0.2505 per minute from 02 September to 31 December 2015. In addition, Telmex and Cablevision were ordered to pay Talktel and Unefon fixed termination fees of MXN 0.0042 per minute over the same period.
