Inatel and BNDES team up on smart city project

Brazil's National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has teamed up with Inatel on a pilot smart city project in the municipality of Santa Rita do Sapucai (Minas Gerais). Also taking part are TIM Brasil and Ericsson, together with startups Pixel, Das Coisas, Fractum and Laager. The project is expected to develop a basis for expanding the services to the cities of Caxambu (Minas Gerais) and Pirai (Rio de Janeiro). The partners will work on the implementation of intelligent solutions for lighting, security and vehicle tracking, using IoT networks and services.
