India tablet market recovers, jumps 14.4% in Q2

India tablet shipments, inclusiding slate and detachables, reached 0.98 million units in the second quarter of 2016. Shipments increased by 14.4 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, and declined 5.6 percent year-on-year, according to a report from International Data Corporation (IDC). The report further indicates that India's tablet market declined as consumer market receded by 12.5 percent year-on-year in the period.
