India to establish lab to test Chinese telecom equipment

India will again investigate security concerns surrounding Chinese telecommunications equipment vendors ZTE and Huawei, the Hindustan Times reports. The move follows the release of a report by the US Department of Defense, which said that intrusions originating from China have been designed to steal confidential information. An official from India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) said: "We know about the concerns of intelligence agencies and are expediting developing system for testing the telecom equipments of foreign manufacturers in networks."
