India to ship 265 million mobile phones in 2016

By the end of September this year, India shipped 197.5 million mobile handsets. Of these, around 78.4 million were shipped in the third quarter of the year, according to a report from CMR. Total mobile handset shipments are expected to reach 265 million by the year end, of which 116 million would be smartphones.
